Hyacinthoides belongs to the Hyacinthaceae family. Better known as the wood hyacinth. This genus lends itself extremely well to naturalisation in gardens, parks or public green areas. The Hyacinthoides hsipanica (Scilla campanulata) refers to Spanish origins. The Hyacinthoides non-scripta (Scilla nutans) is better known as the harebell or 'Bluebell'. The difference between both types is the position of the flower bell on the flower stem.
